Honored by Carol Wallace, her daughter

This tribute is made with love to my Mom, Charlotte Wallace, who gave me the strength to forge ahead and the courage to tackle any challenge. Mom graduated from Rice Uiversity in an age where many women did not attend college. She also served in the Women Accepted for Voluntary Service (WAVES) during WWII, where she decoded messages from our fleet afloat. There she met my Dad, Floyd Wallace, married and made a break from the South to begin her life on a New England farmstead. There she lived for 53 years, raising a family of 5, and helping our ewes deliver untold numbers of lambs until she passed away at the age of 90. She will live on in my memory as a strong, courageous woman who tried her best to pass these traits on to all of her children.
