About Our Induction ceremonies
The Induction Ceremony is the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame’s annual program where we bring our mission to life. From its inception in 1994, the Ceremony has been a forum where we can gather to share stories and celebrate the achievements of exceptional women who have paved the way for the current generation to enjoy freedoms and choices unheard of even a few decades ago.
While we Induct several living women into the Hall each year, we also place heavy emphasis on uncovering stories of extraordinary women from the past who, until this point, have received little recognition. In the early years, we concentrated on honoring women who were firsts in their fields. Today, we celebrate Connecticut women from a variety of fields whose work inspires change, innovation, and progress for the benefit of our local, national, and world-wide communities.
