Your creative, meaningful, and inspiring fundraiser is an opportunity to share the struggles and triumphs of your favorite Inductees while providing support that will enrich the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame educational programs provided to over 3,000 students across the state.
support Empowering programs like:
STEMfems: Women Transforming Our World – Multiple events a year during which STEM women professionals facilitate hands-on science workshops with middle school girls to inspire them to consider STEM careers.
Girls’ Day at the Capitol: An annual forum that provides 100 girls with an opportunity to learn about civic engagement, advocacy, and the importance of voting.
Financefems: A forum for approximately 50 young women to learn how they can create financial security and stability.
Ms. Story and STEMfems Jr.: Lesson plans on women’s history available to teachers free-of-charge.
In-school Programming: Lessons on Connecticut women’s history taught in the classroom in schools across the state.
Fundraiser ideas
Party Theme
Birthday/Anniversary Party: Is your birthday or Anniversary wish to empower girls and boys to be active in their own futures? Then ask your friends to donate to the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame instead of purchasing birthday gifts.
Fun Night Theme
Karaoke Night: Bring your friends together to celebrate women through song.
Poker Night: Host a friendly game of poker, all proceeds going to support the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
Game Night: Ask your friends over for a night of friendly competition that will support the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
Movie Night: From themes like Fright Night to Summer Classics, you can ask your guests to provide an admittance fee that will be donated directly to the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
School/Club Theme
School Bake Sale: Is your school club looking for an organization to support? Why not consider the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, whose mission is to educate and inspire future generations of women leaders.
Fun-Run: Do you belong to a running or other sporting club? Create a personalized athletic tournament where all proceeds support the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
Evening Event Theme
Cooking for a Cause: Host a small dinner party for family and friends. Instead of hostess gifts, ask that your guests consider making a donation.
Wine or Beer tasting events: Ask your friends to join you for an evening of wine or beer sampling, all while supporting our educational programming!
