The Avangrid Foundation and the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame (CWHF) entered a partnership beginning February 2020 – February 2021.  A grant award in the amount of $10,000 will bring CWHF student educational programs, community events, exhibits and talks to Connecticut citizens. AVANGRID employees will participate in all day STEM events in Bridgeport and other areas around the state.  The partnership is in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“For the last century and more, Connecticut women have been central figures in the push for greater human rights, suffrage and equality in this country,” said Nicole Licata Grant, Avangrid Foundation Director. “With more than 100 years of our companies serving the families of Connecticut, we are proud to partner with CWHF in this momentous year to honor a collective history and look to the future together.”

“We are honored and excited to be partnering with the Avangrid Foundation this year. We look forward to building upon our current programs that will increase our reach to students across the state. We welcome AVANGRID volunteers who will participate in our STEM programming for middle and high school girls” said Sarah Smith Lubarsky, Executive Director of the CT Women’s Hall of Fame.
