Development Manager
We are seeking a Part-Time Development Manager (25 hours per week) to support our fundraising initiatives and contribute to the long-term financial stability of our organization.
About Us:
CWHF is a state-wide educational organization committed to honoring the legacies of remarkable women, preserving their stories, and promoting women's history and culture. Through our diverse programs and initiatives, we engage students, teachers, civic organizations, and cultural institutions across Connecticut, serving as a vital center for women’s history and empowerment.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in supporting our fundraising efforts and building relationships with donors and sponsors. Working closely with the Executive Director, you will help develop corporate sponsorship opportunities, cultivate donor prospects, and oversee event planning and execution. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the financial sustainability and growth of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and present corporate sponsorship opportunities to potential partners.
Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate donors, including Trustees and the Development Committee.
Prepare solicitation, cultivation, and acknowledgement letters, as well as program and event marketing materials.
Assist with event planning and execution, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for attendees.
Oversee database management, utilizing DonorPerfect or similar software.
Contribute to grant writing efforts to secure additional funding for CWHF's programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of fundraising or sales experience.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
Experience with database management systems; knowledge of DonorPerfect is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and meet deadlines independently.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Passion for women’s history and education, with a desire to make a difference in the community.
Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with social media platforms is a plus
Salary:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
